He has served as Deputy Director-General of the Information Center of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, China. He has also served as a consultant to international organizations such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, WFP, UNOSSC, UNESCAP and UNICEF, and the coordinator of the China-OECD/DAC Study Group, Steering Committee member of Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network (MPPN).
