Pei Dina is a professor and doctoral tutor at the Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University, a distinguished professor at Zhejiang Normal University, director of the Zhejiang Basic Education Research Center, a member of the Basic Education Curriculum Textbook Expert Working Committee under the Ministry of Education, and a prominent education expert in China. Her research focuses on the reform and development of basic education, which has a great influence on China’s educational theory and practice. Her contributions have been recognized with the National Educational Achievement Award, China Publishing Government Award, Chinese Best Publications (books) Award, and other national awards.<div><br></div><div>Bao Dongming is a professor at the Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University, and the executive editor in chief of International and Comparative Education, which is published by Beijing Normal University. His major research interests include basic education, curriculum andteaching, and comparative education. In addition to serving as the principal investigator in several national research and consultancy projects, he has published several books and dozens of articles in <i>China Education Daily</i>, <i>Educational Research</i>, <i>International and Comparative Education</i> and other CSSCI journals.</div>
